Volunteering at the university – time to celebrate it together!
Whether in the student representative body, the Student Council, university committees or student projects such as TMM, Alpha, Hochschulbühne and InnoLab: volunteering is an important part of our university life. 🤝 Without the many people who give their time alongside their studies, our university would not be what it is today.
And that’s exactly why we want to celebrate volunteering together for the first time! It’s not just about saying thank you, but also about getting to know one another. Over food and drinks, we want to exchange ideas, make new connections and discuss how we can further develop volunteering at our university and raise its profile.
📅 29 October 2026, from 5.00 pm
📍 Venue to be announced shortly
Whether you’re already involved or simply interested in volunteering: you’re all warmly invited! Food and drinks will be provided. 🍴
🔗Registration isn’t compulsory, but it does help us with our planning.
We look forward to seeing you and to sharing ideas together!

Resourceful rather than at a loss – an open service from the university library
Academic work can sometimes be a real headache: 📚 Where can I find suitable literature? Which sources can I use? How do I formulate a good research question? How do I cite sources correctly? And what role can AI play in all this?
From now on, (almost) every Thursday you can get help with exactly these kinds of questions – straightforward, practical and on an equal footing. In 45-minute sessions, the University Library focuses on a different topic related to academic work each time: you’ll try things out together, exchange ideas and be shown ways to make progress. 💡
📅 Every Thursday, 1.00 pm to 1.45 pm
📍 Library, Media Room (14-025)
Next session:
📅 Thursday, 22 October 2026, 1.00 pm to 1.45 pm
This session is open to all students – from first-year students right through to those writing their final dissertation. No registration required – just pop in! 🙌
