Are you working on or conducting research for a project – for example, as part of your dissertation or PhD – and would like to know what potential for commercialisation it holds?
At “Research Canvas”, we focus on questions relating to knowledge transfer and commercialisation. It always starts with the idea and its potential. Using the Research Canvas methodology, we’d like to work with you to explore the potential applications of your academic work. In this workshop, you’ll reflect on possible user groups and stakeholders for your research topic. Why might they benefit from your research? You’ll have time to brainstorm potential use cases and work with the other participants to take shared ideas to the next level.
Workshop content
- Identifying, analysing and presenting the commercialisation potential of your own project
- Introduction to the various pathways of technology transfer
- Viewing start-ups as a potential career option
- Learning about funding opportunities and key players relevant to technology transfer at the university and in the region
Target audience
Research staff at non-university research institutions. As a participant, you should ideally bring a specific technology or a key focus area from your work so that you can apply the methods taught directly. Teams are also very welcome.
