Saxony5 at a glance

To strengthen research-based knowledge and technology transfer, we – the Saxon UoAS in Dresden, Leipzig, Mittweida, Zittau/Gƶrlitz and Zwickau – have joined forces. Together, we pool our resources and expertise, as well as those of our direct partners.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and smart networking, we are creating a new standard of quality in knowledge transfer, both in terms of content and methodology. In doing so, we are contributing to the sustainable development of prosperity in the region. As part of the ā€˜Innovative University’ programme, following the first project phase, we will receive funding for a further five years (2023–2027) from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, as well as from the Joint Science Conference.

Our technology and knowledge transfer focuses on the three application areas of production, energy and the environment. To this end, we develop and utilise a broad spectrum of transfer tools within the modules of multimedia communication, interactive transfer, experiential transfer spaces, transfer-related skills development and computer-assisted transfer

Saxony⁵ is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space and the Joint Science Conference as part of the ā€˜Innovative University’ programme.
