First week of lectures for first-year students

During the first week of lectures, from 28 September to 2 October, there will be a range of introductory and information sessions for first-year students, alongside the usual lectures. All new students are warmly invited to attend.

During the first week, you’ll find out everything you need to know to get your studies off to a successful start and get to know your fellow students. Registration is not required, unless explicitly stated for individual events.

As well as the first lectures, you can look forward to a wide range of information sessions, combined with leisure activities to help you get to know one another. You’ll receive general information on Wi-Fi and university logins, studying abroad, General Studies (Studium Generale), university sports and BAföG. There will also be a faculty presentation with information on your degree programme, a ‘Study Start-up ABC’, a campus tour, a group breakfast, a barbecue evening and much more.

You’ll find the detailed programme in your timetable. We’re also offering introductory sessions to the university library throughout the week.
