Career Guidance Workshop

“Building a future. Finding your way into a career.”
Our workshop is designed for young people, particularly school pupils from Year 8 onwards, who are thinking about their career choices and where and how they want to live in the future. In a world of so many possibilities, making a decision can be difficult. How, from whom and through which support services do you feel particularly supported? What challenges do you face?

We invite you to help us better understand the transition from school to work from your perspective. 

We, the ReBiNet team, would like to help break down the barriers that young people face during the phase of career guidance and the transition from school to work. To this end, we want to learn more about this phase and feed the insights we gain back into practice.

We want to understand how young people are supported in their physical and social environments during this phase.

In small groups of no more than twelve participants, you’ll spend an afternoon working on the topic of career guidance.

You can use Lego bricks to express your ideas in a practical and creative way.  

The method is called Lego®SeriosPlay®. 

‘Building the Future’ leaflet

You’ll be working in small groups on career guidance. You’ll be helping with research into career guidance, which could be useful for other young people.
 

Our workshop is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 27 who are exploring their career options and/or making the transition from school to an apprenticeship or a job. It doesn’t matter whether you already have a clear idea of where you want to go!

Duration: The workshop lasts 3 hours and takes place in consultation with the relevant school or institution.

We will be recording the workshop on video and audio for evaluation purposes. To do this, we require your consent to record the comments and findings.

All data and statements will be anonymised and will only be viewed and analysed by those involved in the research project. The results of the study will, amongst other things, be used by those involved in career guidance at a local level and will be incorporated into the research.

To take part, please sign the consent form and the data protection information and return them to the school’s contact person, or bring them with you to the workshop.
