This year, the focus was on showcasing our key research areas, such as innovative testing technology for e-bikes, the development of sustainable lightweight structures, and our expertise in additive printing of specialised structures directly onto textiles. In addition, we actively promoted the ‘Vehicle Development for Sustainable Mobility’ specialisation. Despite fewer exhibitors and visitors, we were able to hold interesting discussions, expand our network and raise awareness of our organisation amongst companies.

Once again this year, the IMS Chair will be exhibiting at the Eurobike trade fair in Frankfurt. Interested visitors wishing to find out more about current research and development projects in the field of sustainable mobility solutions can find us in Hall 8 at Stand K14.

On 20 June, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences is inviting curious visitors and night owls to the campus for the Night of Sciences (Nacht der Wissenschaften). The IMS Chair will also be represented with two exhibitions. In the ‘Bicycle Torture Chamber’ in Building 5, Room 009 A, visitors can view the IMS Chair’s operational durability test rig for micromobiles. In Room 317 A, visitors can view further test benches, such as a rotational tribometer and a gearbox test bench. The event begins at 6 pm and runs until midnight.

On 12 June, the Saxon Business Summer Meeting took place at the Mittweida hydroelectric power station and the HSMW Media Centre under the theme ‘Modernity meets Nature – Innovation meets Industry’. At the event, the IMS Chair presented its current areas of research and the HSMW eCargo-Bike, developed at the Chair, to numerous interested decision-makers from Saxony’s business community.

On 4 June, Mr Norman Katzer attended the Hydrogen Propulsion 2025 Congress in Chemnitz. The conference, which included a technical exhibition, provided interesting insights into current research and development activities in the field of hydrogen technologies.
