Before my appointment at the university, I spent over twenty years working in research and development within the automotive industry. Among other things, I worked on driver assistance systems, sensor fusion, autonomous driving and connected vehicles. Today, I draw on this experience from industrial projects and research work in my teaching and research.
Alongside my work in research and teaching, I serve as Dean of Studies for the Master’s programme in Electrical Engineering – Automation. It is particularly important to me to continually adapt the curriculum to current technological developments and to offer students an education that combines scientific fundamentals with practical applications.
I am particularly enthusiastic about the close links between the university and industry. Saxony offers ideal conditions for this. At Mittweida University of Applied Sciences in particular, I see every day how this collaboration gives rise to new ideas, innovative research projects and attractive degree programmes.
My aim is not only to provide students with specialist training, but also to inspire them with a passion for the technologies of tomorrow and to prepare them to play an active role in shaping the digital transformation and the mobility of the future.
