The timetables of all seminar groups can be found on our website before the start of each semester. You can also find your personal timetable in the student portal. When you are on the road, you can check your timetable in our app HSMWmobil.

Help and support during your studies

Everyone comes to a point where support is needed, even during their studies. Fortunately, no one is alone in this. Other students have experienced these or similar situations before - and they have asked for help, which everyone who wants to can benefit from. At the HSMW there are numerous places where you can get help if you have a problem.

Re-registration takes place at the end of the last semester by transferring the semester fee of 97 euros. This fee is a combination of the student union fee and the student body fee. The current re-registration deadline and bank details can be found on our website. After successful re-registration, the HSMW card (student ID) can be validated at the machines in the university library, in the NCC or in the Centre for Media and Social Work (House 39) in room 216.

Teaching documents

You will find the documents for your courses in our e-learning portal OPAL, in the download area (Laufwerk R) or on the personal websites of the respective professors, depending on the lecturer.

Library

You can find literature for your studies in our university library. It is located in the same building as the cafeteria. You can also search for literature from home in the online catalogue of the university library. In addition, ebooks from various publishers are available in the digital library.

University sports

As a student at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, you can sign up for various sports programmes. There are countless offers from volleyball, football and badminton to karate, table tennis and many more. An overview of all offers can be found on the university sports websites. Registration needs to be done online at the beginning of the semester. The cost per course is small and includes five euros per semester for students.
