Higher Education Didactic Qualification

Higher Education Didactic Qualification

Nowadays more than ever, practice- and transmission-oriented education requires an excellent higher education didactic qualification. The fundamental reasons for this requirements can be found not only in the short-term cycles of learning contents, strong practical orientation and increasing digitalisation of education, but also in the qualification level of students, which has become increasingly heterogenious and differentiated.

The successful achievement of a higher education didactic qualification must be an opportunity for every teacher. This applies, in particular, to the junior academic staff.

The SEM Project offers independent individual opportunities of advanced higher education within the framework of junior academic advancement. Besides, the AkAs must prove themselves in higher education didactic practice, implementing model projects with innovative higher education didactics-based courses into practice.

The basic knowledge and skills for this implementation are trained in the SEM Project by every participant within the framework of a higher education didactic qualification.  This qualification is obtained by acquiring the Cerificate Programme of The Saxony Higher Education Didactic Centre (HDS). Obtaining a profound and module-built higher education didactic qualification, oriented at common higher education standards, includes acquiring a Cerificate of The Saxony Higher Education Didactic Centre Programme.
