Melanie Kilger, M.A.

I began work on the subject of equality and promoting of STEM in 2013 at the University of Mittweida’s campus office for family and equal opportunities after attaining my Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work.

With the Introduction of the Sonderzuweisung Inklusion my work focus shifted to inclusion. I was appointed as a representative for chronically ill and disabled students and the campus office was restructured into the social support office.

I further studied social work in a part time Master’s degree program until 2017 and have since been a core part of the social support office. My focus lies on inclusion, studying with chronic illness and disability as well as conflict resolution with faculty and staff.

In 2019 I was appointed as deputy representative of conflict resolution of the University Mittweida, for which I completed my training to become a business mediator at the IKOME institute in Leipzig in 2020.
