Scholarships for the financial support of female Master's students

In 2024, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has awarded five scholarships to support female students in Master's degree programs in all faculties and institutes at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. 

The scholarship amount was € 600.00 per month (including travel and book costs) and was awarded in the summer semester 2024 for the months of April to August 2024 inclusive. The total funding amount was €3,000 per scholarship holder. 

Funding was available for female Master's students with outstanding academic achievements and above-average social, societal and student commitment. Special consideration was given to female students with exceptional personal or family circumstances.

Funding was provided as part of the measures to promote gender equality under the Female Professors Program III [Professorinnenprogramm III], which aimed to sustainably improve the representation of women at all qualification levels in the academic system and increase the proportion of female academics in top academic positions.
