Female professors program 2030 of the federal and state governments
In 2023, the fourth phase of the "Female Professors Program" [Professorinnenprogramm] began, with a duration of eight years until 2030 and a total funding volume of €320 million. HSMW applied for the Female Professors Program 2030 in the first round of applications and was awarded the contract.
One of the aims of the funding program launched by the Joint Science Conference (GWK) is to dynamically increase the number of female professors and the proportion of women in top positions at universities toward parity.
The success in the first round meant that we were able to apply for start-up funding in the form of an interim professorship or a regular professorship for up to three newly appointed female professors. Funding for a regular professor frees up resources that can be used for gender equality measures at HSMW.
Mittweida University of Applied Sciences took advantage of this opportunity and appointed three female professors:
