Information days for freshmen

Before the start of their studies, we invite all first-year students to the information days for freshmen.

Under the impact of the Corona pandemic, Mittweida University of Applied Sciences has been diligently planning the details for your start of studies over the past months. As HSMW, we have been making a concerted effort to help control the virus since the pandemic began to circulate. That's why we've made some adjustments that will help everyone.

 In order to start your studies in the best possible way prepared, the HSMW also offers a comprehensive program before the start of classes in 2021: On a special website and via Youtube, you will receive all kinds of information before your studies really start. The beginning of classes for all new students in the winter semester 2021 is on October 4, 2021.

We invite all first-year students to our information days for freshmen on campus from September 28 to 30.

Digital information for freshmen

For "self-study" you can find the playlist "Infotage für Erstsemester" on the Youtube channel of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. Important contact persons and many projects present themselves in videos and thus want to help you get into your studies. For example, the university library explains where and how to get the literature you need for your studies. The network and communication center explains how to check your e-mails with your university account and how to use the university network from outside.
